Mission Statement

The region's accelerating technological growth combined with the
complicated challenges confronting secondary education has particular
significance for post-secondary institutions. The National Business
Institute has positioned itself to meet this challenge by remaining
current in vocational training that is responsive to both employer and
employee needs within the region. This is consistent with the Institute's
mission: to educate students in an environment which fosters the
interdependence between education and business enterprise.

Philosophy

The programs and training available through the National Business
Institute of Florida, Inc. (NBI) are based on the following beliefs:

  • every student has the right to develop skills and knowledge
    commensurate with todays constantly changing job market;

  • the economic well-being of our citizens is improved by high quality
    occupational training;

  • graduates should be able to enter and progress successfully in their
    chosen occupations;

  • the employment and training needs of business and industry in this
    area should be the basis for the programs offered;

  • training and special services should be consistent with the needs,
    interests, and abilities of our students;

  • competent, qualified staff and appropriate facilities and equipment
    that are frequently evaluated are crucial to the success of our
    programs;

  • training should simulate the world of work;

  • the development of attitudes, abilities, work habits, and skills
    contributes to the successful employment and a productive life;

  • occupational business training is a lifelong process that requires
    opportunity for re-training and continuing education.
