Personal Bio

I grew up in Southern California, moved to Texas in 2011 to attend ÿÈÕ´óÈü¹ÙÍø for Mechanical Engineering, and have been in Texas (mostly) ever since.

During my time at LETU, I became involved with intramurals, my dorm floor (G1), the Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) club, and international missions trips with an engineering focus. I traveled to South Korea, Cambodia, Thailand, and Burma with fellow engineering students to bring clean water, access to transportation, and the love of God.

At the end of my undergraduate education, the opportunity presented itself to remain at LeTourneau and receive my M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. My thesis project combined solar power generation and passive water purification to bring electricity and clean water to remote areas of the world. At the completion of my master's work, I traveled with a small team to install several of the water purification systems I tested in Thailand and Burma.

Since completion of my education, I married a fellow LETU engineering alumni, Gabe Johnson, and we have been on an adventure of following where God takes up. We spent our first five summers of marriage in Alaska working with the ministry Kingdom Air Corps, which trains missionary pilots. I have worked through my Instrument Pilot Rating and Gabe has worked through his Instructor Ratings (CFII). Other adventures include starting a small manufacturing business (Johnson Prototyping), completely refurbishing a Cessna 170, driving the Alcan six times, and founding our own Texas based ministry (Texas Air Corps) to train missionary pilots during the winter season.

Fun facts about us include: we have moved 14 times in five years, we have an energetic toddler, we enjoy hunting and gardening, and we live on a grass airstrip.
