Passage Institute Equips Leaders in Longview
What if seven days could change everything? At Passage Institute, we believe they can. Our camp takes place over the course of one transformative week, students don't just learn about Kingdom living—they experience it firsthand. Each day builds upon the last, transforming and equipping our students to answer the call God has placed on their lives.
Day 1 - GATHERING:
We began by gathering together, answering God's call just like Abraham and Israel did generations ago. We learned that God calls His people together, then sends us out with purpose. Our students discovered what it truly means to live the Kingdom life that Jesus modeled for us—right here, right now, on Earth.
Day 2 - TRINITY:
Experiencing the love within the Trinity that overflows to the world. Our students spread across Longview, embodying Christ's heart—He came not to be served, but to serve. We discovered what it means to be sent out in God's love.
Day 3 - CREATION:
Sometimes believers have to step into creation to fully grasp the Creator's heart. Our students witnessed His beauty and heart at Broken Bow. There's something powerful about experiencing His creation that reminds us just how big and beautiful our God is.
Day 4 - SIN & VOCATION:
We spent time acknowledging the real sin and brokenness we see in our world, while also celebrating all the amazing things God is doing around us. The prayer walk is not just a call to see what’s wrong with the world, but to open the eyes of our students to find the good despite the brokenness. To praise the Lord for all the work he is doing in our city. Our students finished the day by fellowshipping with one another at a crawfish boil.
Day 5 - SALVATION & THE CHURCH:
We explored downtown Longview, visiting local businesses for coffee and ice cream before touring the Longview Museum of Fine Art. This experience showed our students that ministry extends beyond church walls—we can answer God's call in any vocation. Vance Freeman, owner of Silver Grizzly Espresso, shared with our students about hearing God's call. He emphasized the need to submit ourselves to Him, seek His voice, and discover the unique calling He has for each of us, regardless of our work. We concluded the day with a foot washing ceremony, representing Jesus washing His disciples' feet. Christ made himself a servant to many, and this is the same call we're encouraging all our Passage Students to answer.
DAY 6 - LAST THINGS:
On the last full day of our Passage Institute we had our students express gratitude for the week, thanking the Lord for the opportunity to learn and grow with other young leaders. We expressed the need to be enlivened and filled by the Holy Spirit. Our students can do none of what you’ve learned this week without the help of the Holy Spirit.
DAY 7 - SENDING:
The final moments with our students, we worshiped and sent them out with the same message Jesus sent his followers with, “Go and make disciples,” “be fruitful and multiply.”
History of the Passage Institute

Since its founding, the institute has become a place where faith, culture, and learning come together to inspire meaningful dialogue and spiritual growth. The institute condenses key biblical and theological concepts into ten hours of core teaching, delivered over five days through interactive classes, immersive experiences, and service opportunities. Through mentoring, community engagement, and thoughtful exploration of complex issues, Passage continues to shape high school students who are prepared to lead with wisdom, compassion, and purpose. Through worship, small groups, personal reflection, mentoring, community engagement, and thoughtful exploration of complex issues, high school students invited to encounter God’s story and consider their role in it. More than just a camp, Passage is an experiential, holistic learning environment that leaves a lasting impact, often inspiring students to pursue deeper theological study and leadership grounded in Christ’s love.
