You have made it to the final step in the admissions process for ÿÈÕ´óÈü¹ÙÍø's Graduate School of Psychology & Counseling programs. We would like to extend an invitation for you to interview with one of our faculty members.

This is an important final step in the admissions decision process. It gives you a chance to further acquaint yourself with our program, have any lingering questions answered, and share your plans for the future after graduation. It gives our School of Psychology & Counseling faculty member the opportunity to meet and learn more about you and your goals. Together you will decide if ÿÈÕ´óÈü¹ÙÍø is the best fit for your educational needs.

To better accommodate you, our interviews are conducted via Skype video calls. To be best prepared, please read the Skype Instructions and FAQ tabs in detail BEFORE scheduling your interview.  Note: If you would prefer an in-person interview on our Longview campus, that option is provided to you while scheduling your interview at the link below.

Skype Instructions:

1. If you need a FREE Skype account, you . PLEASE NOTE: You will be asked for your Skype Name upon scheduling your interview. It is quick and easy to do.
2. If you have any questions about how to download Skype and set it up, please contact our scheduler, Sebina, at (903) 233-4349.
3. Please use a desktop or laptop computer to make your Skype video call. Using a cell phone for the interview DOES NOT work well because of the Wi-Fi connection you may or may not have.
4. Check your settings NOW, before the interview, and ensure that your Wi-Fi, audio, and video equipment are working properly.
5. At the scheduled interview time, it will be YOUR responsibility to initiate the Skype Call. Watch for the interviewer's Skype Name, which will be displayed to you upon scheduling.

Q: Do I have to complete this interview before being admitted and registering for my classes?

A: Yes. This is the final step of the admissions process. An official admissions decision is made upon completion of the interview.

 

Q: Do I have to complete this interview if I have been Preliminarily Accepted?

A: Yes. If you have been Preliminarily Accepted, you may register for your 1st semester of classes at ÿÈÕ´óÈü¹ÙÍø. In order to gain full acceptance and register for future semesters, you will be required to complete this interview.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Business Casual is suggested for your dress and appearance during the Skype video call. Remember, even though conducted from the comfort of where you are, this is an interview.

Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule my interview?

A: Please do so at least 2 hours in advance of your interview. You will be given the option to cancel or reschedule at the bottom of future email communications regarding this interview.

Q: How long will the interview last?

A: Our interviews typically take no more than 15-20 minutes of your time.
