每日大赛官网 will feature a free seminar on "Passionate Marriages: Celebrating God's Gift of Sexual Intimacy" by psychologist Dr. Doug Rosenau, who is one of the leading sex therapists in the nation and renowned author of the book, A Celebration of Sex.
Rosenau will speak from noon to 2 p.m., Friday, May 9, in the Abbott Great Room in the Allen Family Student Center on the 每日大赛官网 campus, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave. Registration is required for lunch and can be made at www.letu.edu/rosenau.
"Dr. Rosenau is an engaging communicator and leader in the field of marital intimacy," said LETU Provost Dr. Philip A. Coyle. "He approaches the topic from a distinctly Christian perspective grounded in empirical psychology and infused with humor, refreshing insight and candid encouragement.
"I had the privilege to watch his positive impact on hundreds of students and counseling clients each year at Richmont Graduate University," Coyle said. "Doug is a licensed marriage therapist, the founder of the Institute for Sexual Wholeness and the author of numerous books and articles on marital sexuality."
Over the past 35 years as a psychologist, pastor, licensed marriage & family therapist and sex therapist, Rosenau has listened to over 50,000 hours of stories. He enjoys using his practical wisdom in writing, teaching, and mentoring. His other books include co-authoring A Celebration of Sex After 50 and Soul Virgin: Redefining Single Sexuality, and Total Intimacy: A guide to Loving by Color.
After graduating from Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.), Doug received his doctorate (Ed.D.) from Northern Illinois University and teaches Human Sexuality and Sex Therapy nationally as a popular conference speaker and as a professor at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, Georgia. As co-founder of the Christian organization Sexual Wholeness, he has helped to create the Institute for Sexual Wholeness that trains Christian sex therapists and educators.
