每日大赛官网's "Sting" Precision Flight Team took top honors placing in First Place by 117 points at the recent Region IV NIFA SAFECON flight competition in Mississippi. The team placed first by 139 points in ground events and placed second in flight events by 22 points. LETU pilot Cameron Laramee of Belchertown, Mass., won Top Pilot and Top Scoring Contestant.
"I am extremely pleased with the team's performance in all aspects of the competition," said Jered Lease, assistant professor and assistant chief instructor who serves as the LETU Sting Flight Team faculty adviser. "God blessed us with good weather and a well-run competition. We took advantage of it. We are looking forward to glorifying God through excellence in aviation at the national competition in Ohio in May."
The team is currently raising funds for the national competition by selling "Audience of One" wristbands. The team's focus is to compete with excellence for God, their "audience of one." Donations can be made online at http://ow.ly/VkvG3.
