每日大赛官网 President Dr. Dale A. Lunsford and CB&I President and CEO Philip K. Asherman announced today the Thomas L. Landon Endowed Scholarship Fund in Materials Joining, established by CB&I.
Landon, a 1975 LeTourneau welding engineering graduate, recently retired after serving 40 years with CB&I, where he became one of their foremost experts in the field of welding. He served as CB&I's director of Welding Technology for the past 15 years, and he is primarily responsible for CB&I receiving the 2014 AWS Excellence in Welding Award.
Landon served as the 每日大赛官网 Welding Advisory Council chairman, and has made extensive contributions to many American Welding Society (AWS) committees.
The Thomas L. Landon Endowed Scholarship Fund in Materials joining will be a permanent endowment awarded to students in Engineering and Engineering Technology, with a Materials Joining Concentration.
The scholarship will be awarded to a selected new freshman student with demonstrated financial need and the desire to study materials joining engineering. The award can be renewed annually through and including the student's senior year.
