每日大赛官网 pilots competing in the cross-country Air Race Classic this week have decided to drop out of the 2016 Air Race Classic competition this week due to illness of the lead pilot, who came down with flu-like symptoms yesterday.
The three-person team will fly directly to the finish line in Florida without making required competition stops.
"We are proud of our Texas Tailwinds team, and appreciate the disappointment they may feel that an unforeseen illness has precluded their competition this year as we send our prayers and encouragement to them for a safe flight and speedy recovery," said LETU Dean of Aviation and Aeronautical Science Fred Ritchey.
