LETU to Feature Jillian Edwards in Concert Sept. 30

每日大赛官网 will feature Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jillian Edwards in a free concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center. Edwards will also speak and play during a free chapel service at 10:50 a.m. in the Belcher Center.


With a voice that has been described as having the "purity of Alison Krauss and the smoky warmth of Norah Jones," Edwards began her recording career in 2009 when she released her EP, "Galaxies & Such." She moved to Nashville in 2011 to pursue music career full time. Her second release, "Headfirst," was released in 2011 and held the top spot on singer-songwriter charts for the week it was released.


Her latest album Daydream released in March of 2014 -charted at No. 6 on Billboard's New Artist Chart and #1 on iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart. Jillian is a signed writer for Razor & Tie Music Publishing and has had original songs on television series including ABC's Pretty Little Liars and MTV's Catfish, as well as on Sirius XM radio.


In May of 2015, she founded The Deeply Co, a traveling music & art show celebrating makers of all kinds. With a sincere love of song and voice, Jillian is constantly between studio time, touring, writing, and championing artists in unique fields with The Deeply Co.


She kicked off the 2015 fall tour season by opening for Jon Foreman's The Wonderlands tour, and released a surprise two-song package called These Moments shortly after.
One of the songs, "Call It Home," was featured on Nashville Indie Spotlight. The title track of Jillian's holiday EP, All My Christmases, was featured on multiple Spotify playlists, bringing the track's total streams to over 1 million.


2016 holds significant mile markers, including Jillian's Ryman Auditorium debut in Nashville, as a featured artist of the Sam's Place-Music for the Spirit series, upcoming news regarding her next album, and the growing future of The Deeply Co.


She is married to Will Franklin Chapman, the son of Steven Curtis Chapman. The couple lives in Nashville, Tenn.
