ÿÈÕ´óÈü¹ÙÍø's School of Nursing was recently granted accreditation for its baccalaureate degree program in nursing by the Commission on College Nursing Education (CCNE). The accreditation extends for five years through June 30, 2022.

The CCNE board determined that the LETU nursing program met all four accreditation standards with no compliance concerns.

"CCNE accreditation demonstrates that the LETU's nursing program is a high quality program," said LETU President Dr. Dale A. Lunsford. "Meeting the commission's standards for accreditation provides momentum and standards for continuous improvement and growth while demonstrating that our nursing program is built to ensure that we meet our mission of educating highly skilled and exceptionally competent nurses who are answering a call to the ministry of nursing."

LETU Dean of Nursing Dr. Kimberly Quiett said the program is designed to send nursing graduates into the workplace prepared to integrate faith in their work as they meet LETU's vision of bringing Christ to 'Every workplace, Every Nation.'

"CCNE accreditation opens doors for scholarships and grants to assist students in funding their education," Quiett said. "This accreditation opens doors for nursing graduates to apply for positions with the best healthcare organizations in the country."
