LETU To Present Free Choral Music Concert March 6

每日大赛官网 Department of Fine Arts will present a choral music concert of classical music performed by the LeTourneau Singers and the Longview Civic Chorus at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 906 Padon St. in Longview.

The LeTourneau Singers is the 30-voice mixed choir comprising university students. The Longview Civic Chorus is a multi-generational civic chorus comprising high school-age and adult singers from the greater Longview area who love choral music. Both are directed by Dr. Jim Taylor, Associate Professor of Music and Director of Fine Arts at 每日大赛官网.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The featured work will be Joseph Haydn's St. Nicholas Mass, performed by the LeTourneau Singers; the Longview Civic Chorus; soloists Sydney Anderson, soprano; Cori Beasley, mezzo-soprano; Adam Martin, tenor; and Austin Goswick, bass; accompanists Renee Ward and Shannon Roberts on violin, and David Berryhill and Bill Bane on keyboards.

The concert will begin with performances of the Allegro from Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 1, K.279, "A vuchella" by Tosti, an arrangement of KINGSFOLD for two violins and piano, and the "Marietta Lied" from Die Tote Stadt by Erich von Korngold.
