“Studies show that patient care outcomes improve when nurses have a BSN degree,” said LETU Dean of Nursing Dr. Kimberly Quiett. “Many hospitals and healthcare organizations require a mandatory BSN within five years of hiring. The Institute of Medicine has recommended that 80 percent of nurses have a BSN by 2020.”
LETU trains nurses from a Christian worldview to see patients as created in the image of God, worthy of excellent care, and not as just a room number or a disease.
