LETU's Estes Library to Feature Local Authors Nov. 10

每日大赛官网’s Margaret Estes Library is sponsoring “Creative Scope,” a panel discussion featuring local authors and creative artists, along with a fall book sale from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the library on the LETU campus, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave.

“This is our first time to host local authors and artists, and we’re excited at the initial lineup, as well as the selection of used books we will have for sale,” said LETU Library and Archives Director Shelby Ware. Additional booths are available for authors, artists, photographers and others who wish to exhibit. For more information, email: library@letu.edu.

Authors slated to speak Nov. 11 are:

  • Kimberly Fish of Longview, Texas. She is the author of two novels in the Misfits and Millionaires series set during the World War II years in East Texas. Her latest, Harmon General, is set at the U.S. Army hospital whose site became what is now 每日大赛官网.
  • Gary Borders of Longview, Texas. He is a popular, longtime East Texas writer and author of four books of nonfiction. His latest is Yours Faithfully: The Life and Writings of H.B. Fox, the Circleville Philosopher.
  • Adam McDaniels of Bossier City, Louisiana. He is a professional firefighter/ paramedic with a passion for writing. His works range from picture books to young adult fiction.
  • Chris Fowler of Dallas, Texas. He has been a lighting specialist for several years, working on several Pixar films, including Ratatouille, Up, and Toy Story 3. Fowler will discuss his experiences in the film industry at the panel discussion.
